Mediafour Corporation today announced the release of MacDrive 6 CrossStripe Edition software, giving Windows XP and 2000 users the ability to transparently access Mac-formatted drive arrays.
West Des Moines, IA (PRWEB) October 3, 2006 -- Mediafour Corporation today announced the release of MacDrive 6 CrossStripe Edition software, giving Windows XP and 2000 users the ability to transparently access Mac-formatted drive arrays.
Striped drive arrays, often called “RAID 0” arrays, utilize multiple hard drives for increased speed. They are often used with demanding film, audio and video editing applications, including a variety of products from Avid and Digidesign.
CrossStripe Edition extends MacDrive to include support for striped Mac arrays created with ATTO ExpressStripe, ATTO ExpressRAID or AVID Disk Utility software. CrossStripe Edition also includes all of the features of the standard MacDrive 6 product, recognized as the industry standard for seamless access to Mac media from Windows software.
“It is true that this is the best product of its kind, but that’s aiming awfully low, since it is the only product of its kind,” said Mediafour president Brian Landwehr. “High-speed, transparent and reliable enough for mission-critical work is a tall order, but CrossStripe gets it right.”
MacDrive 6 CrossStripe Edition is available for purchase online at www.mediafour.com for $249.95. Users of previous versions of MacDrive CrossStripe Edition can upgrade for only $99.95. A free trial of MacDrive 6 CrossStripe Edition is available at www.mediafour.com/crossstripe.
System Requirements MacDrive 6 CrossStripe Edition is compatible with Windows XP and 2000.
